OWLS ANNOUNCE NEW HIRES AND PROMOTIONS
The Owls are off to a busy off-season. They are pleased to announce the hiring of
Meredith Bennett, Forest City native and McNair Foundation Mentor, as well as graduate of The University of North Carolina, as Director of Sales and Sponsorships.
“We are thrilled to have someone with Meredith’s warmth and experience join our team,” said Stephanie Blatnicky Director of Baseball Operations.
“Meredith will be responsible for strengthening our sponsorship base, our group sales, as well as being a full time liaison between the sponsors and The Owls. In addition, Meredith will help with host families and graphics for all Owls media.”
In addition to Meredith, The Owls have added also Jessica Ebert who is in charge of special events and Sabrina Vetter, 2022 Owl Intern, to handle all social media off season, and head intern for marketing and
media during the season.
Jessica will focus on a Memorial Day and July 4 that will hopefully make McNair Field the place to be on those days and nights. “It Is our intention to have Jessica put together two fabulous holiday events. One Memorial Day where the Owls are attempting to play The United States Military all-stars in an evening dedicated to Veterans, law enforcement and First responders, as well as current members of The Military. We have big plans for that night. Further our goal Is to make McNair Field the place to be for the entire County all day July 4. Games, Food, field activities many different ideas are being considered” said Ms. Blatnicky.
“We welcome your ideas, and don’t forget the fireworks. Yes the Owls will be the place For fireworks either July 3rd or 4th. We are awaiting our CPL schedule to determine the Night for the Big Bang.”
Last, but not least, Sabrina Vetter, 2022 intern and current Student at University of Tennessee, will be handling all social media and helping With the hiring of interns and mentoring them during the summer.
“Sabrina is that one in a million personality who understands Facebook, Instagram Tik-Tok and all other
facets of social media. We are thrilled that she will be back next summer in her marketing position and a member of the growing Owls team.” said owner Phil Dangel.
“ Obviously this is a large investment on our part and further cements the Owls position in Forest City. All three report to Stephanie, and all three will be deeply involved in all you can eat plans, sponsorships, and group sales. We are darn lucky
as an organization to have four excellent members of the Owls team. People who
love Forest City, love Baseball, love the Owls and love our Players. We have been long overdue in adding this staff and hopefully, they can all join together and push me back
Out of the way and run the team.” added Dangel.
